Breakfast Pizza in Chicago – Forget About Deep Dish

Eating breakfast pizza in Chicago does not have to mean cold deep dish from the night before or even ordering a deep dish before noon. Eating pizza for breakfast means that you’ll be taking in a deliciousness of ingredients that are reminiscent of a hearty, home-cooked meal. In some cases, bacon, eggs, potatoes; in others, it may be a pizza-pie take on a breakfast pastry (eg: Ten Mile House’s Wake ‘N Bacon). If you have never experienced a dedicated pizza for breakfast– I feel like you have been missing a culinary masterpiece. You may think that I am being a little overzealous, but it was a standard for me growing up. My jaw still tingles at the first bite of every breakfast pizza that I get my teeth into– since I tend to treat them as a delicacy and only indulge a couple times a year. But, by all means, eat ’em until your heart is content!
